SELFBOOK
2014 / 2016
Selfbook is a editorial and participatory project started in 2014 in collaboration with the photographer Sara Lusini.
The project develops trought a concrete methodology that involves the creation of workshops and the involvement of local agents.
Since 2014 we have had valid collaboration and the project has been sponsored and supported by projects and organisations such as: Pepita Onlus in Milan, Perugia Social Photo Fest, Luce Grigia Association, Regione Umbria, Progetto Scuole Aperte, IEFC Barcelona.
In the era of "selfie", the self portrait, a fascinating discipline, allow us to reflect on the human condition starting from ourselves as an object of study and reflection. The self-portrait allows to acquire a better image of themselves, both as an individual and as part of a social network. The project is aimed at teenagers ( 14-20) at risk of social exclusion. The project aimed to transmit the elements of visual storytelling, from about themselves, their own emotions and their own history.
The reflection that have been made in this workshop were: what tools we use to photography? What's for us a selfie? And a self-portrait?
With this workshop, we propose active participation by attendees in a "real space" where collaboration is possibile through a common creative process. The guys created a " Dummy Book" with images chosen tangible object that displays a kind of storytelling that lives, other wives, in a totally intangible dimension.
